Zwipe Marketplace (“Zwipe”, “we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use the Zwipe app or website (https://zwipe-marketplace.webflow.io).
1. What Data We Collect
We may collect the following types of data:
a. Information You Provide
- Name, email address, and password when signing up
- Optional: phone number (if added during listing creation)
- Listings and chat content you post in the app
b. Automatically Collected (via Firebase)
- App events: app_open, screen_view, session_start, etc.
- Device info: model, OS version, screen resolution
- Usage behavior: feature usage, engagement, time spent
- Crash data: logs and reports via Crashlytics
- Region/country: estimated from IP address
Note: IP address and geolocation are not stored directly, but may be inferred for technical operations.
c. Optional Location Information
- If you choose to pin your listing on a map, your approximate location will be shown publicly. This is optional.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Operate and improve the Zwipe app and website
- Show relevant listings and content
- Moderate content and prevent abuse
- Respond to user reports and enforce rules
- Monitor app performance and crashes
3. Data Sharing
We may share your data:
- With law enforcement or authorities when legally required
- With service providers (e.g., Firebase, RevenueCat) for app operations
- Internally, among authorized Zwipe staff, only for support or moderation
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Hosting & International Transfers
Your data is hosted on Firebase servers in Doha (me-central1) and Mumbai (asia-south1).This means your data may be processed outside the UAE. We take steps to ensure any transfers comply with UAE PDPL.
5. Security Measures
We use technical and organizational safeguards (e.g., access controls, secure storage) to protect your data. However, no system is completely immune from security risks.
6. Data Retention
If you delete your Zwipe account:
- Your authentication record is removed
- However, we retain necessary data (e.g., reports, chat logs, listing history) for legal, safety, or auditing purposes

7. Breach Notification
If we become aware of a serious data breach affecting your personal information:
- We will notify you manually via app, email, or SMS if legally required
- We currently do not use automated breach alert systems
